Key cruise cover benefits

  • £150 compensation per person per port if your scheduled port stop is cancelled
  • £100 per day if you're confined to your cabin for medical reasons

Premier policy

  • Up to £10,000 per person if you need to cancel your cruise, cut it short or cancel activities / excursions
  • Up to £1,000 for travel and accommodation costs to help you re-join your cruise if you miss a port departure due to a delay returning from a pre-booked excursion
  • Up to £1,000 for travel and accommodation expenses to help you re-join your cruise or get home if you've been taken ill and required medical treatment on land
  • £150 compensation per person per port if your scheduled port stop is cancelled
  • £150 per day if you're confined to your cabin for medical reasons

If you have selected baggage/personal belongings cover:

Essential policy

  • Up to £500 for extra travel and accommodation costs to replace your passport if it's lost, stolen or destroyed on your cruise
  • Up to £250 for the replacement of necessary personal items and/or courier service to you aboard your cruise vessel if your baggage is delayed

Premier policy

  • Up to £500 for extra travel and accommodation costs to replace your passport if it's lost, stolen or destroyed on your cruise
  • Up to £500 for the replacement of necessary personal items and/or courier service to you aboard your cruise vessel if your baggage is delayed

A. Our annual multi-trip travel policy has an upper age limit of 79 years, however there’s no upper age limit on our LV= single trip travel insurance policy.

A. When you get a quote for a single trip travel policy, make sure you tell us if your holiday includes a cruise and cover will be added to your policy. Annual multi-trip policies automatically include cruise cover.

A. If you're already on holiday and decide to go on a cruise as part of this break, our annual multi-trip policy gives you the peace of mind of knowing that cruise cover is included as standard. If you have single trip cover, all you need to do is call us on +44 1202 884 561 to let us know about your cruise so we can add this to your policy.

Depending on what section of your policy you're claiming under, you may need to give us certain types of information or evidence. Please see the relevant section of your policy for more information on what documents you may need.

What happens if my baggage is delayed, lost or stolen?

Q. What happens if my baggage is delayed, lost or stolen?

A. If you've selected baggage cover and your baggage is delayed or lost in transit, you should tell the carrier of the baggage within 24 hours of discovery and obtain a Property Irregularity Report. If your baggage is delayed for more than 12 hours from when you arrive at your destination, your policy provides cover for the purchase of necessary items (£250 on our Essential policy and £500 on our Premier policy). If you have cruise cover, this benefit includes the cost of couriering your baggage to your cruise vessel if it has already left the port.

If your baggage is stolen, you should report this to the local police within 24 hours of discovering the theft and obtain a written report.

If your baggage is lost, you should report the loss to the police or appropriate person depending on where the loss occurs (such as the cruise concierge or reception desk) and obtain written evidence.
