A major misconception about electric vehicles is that excess water can have an impact on their inner-workings. Not ideal if you're driving in heavy rain, or trying to keep your new electric car looking spick and span.

So this week, we challenged the McGlynns to take their Nissan Leaf to the local car wash for the full works, and see whether there was any truth behind the myth...
