Fiat safety features

Most newer Fiats have a number of beneficial safety features

Things like...

  • The ParkSense Rear Park Assist System uses sensors to detect objects behind you and will alert you with audible and visual warnings. When you put your car into reverse, the standard Rear Back Up Camera displays a wide-angle view of the area behind you on your Uconnect touchscreen, complete with gridlines so you can assess how much space you have and how to manoeuvre.
  • The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) detects any inconsistencies between your steering input and the direction the vehicle and automatically applies the brakes to individual wheels. It uses the dynamic control systems to help you maintain control in any conditions. All Fiats also come with a four-wheel Antilock brake system to offer great brake response and resist brake fade.
Seven Airbags in your car mean you have multistage driver and front passenger airbags, a driver’s knee airbag, full-length side-curtain airbags and seat-mounted pelvic-thoracic airbags, plus Reactive front seat head restraints which  activate in the event of a rear collision.

The electric one: The new Fiat 500 la Prima is coming soon. It will be built on a completely new platform and will ensure a competitive range capability of 199 miles and urban cycle autonomy. With its fast charge mode of 85kw, it can reach 80% battery charge in 35 minutes. Charging is easy. A mode 3 cable is included with the purchase of the car, allowing you to charge at public charging stations and an easyWallbox is included to create your own charging station at home.

So, where do Fiat stand on electric cars?

Here's the lowdown:

The new Fiat 500 EV was launched in 2020 and boasts up to 199 miles of range on a combined cycle.

A full day’s driving (30 miles) is possible from just a five minute charge and you'll be cruising in the same great style as the non-electric Fiat 500.
