Have an electric Peugeot? All this is included as standard...
- Recovery to the nearest chargepoint
Run out of charge in the UK? We'll recover you to the nearest chargepoint. We also have a fleet of vehicles we use in partnership with AFF, the national roadside electric vehicle charging assistance company, which can recharge your vehicle and get you on the road again. This won’t affect your NCD and there’s no excess to pay
- Cover for charging cables
Charging cables, wall boxes and adaptors are covered for accidental damage, fire and theft
- Battery cover
Battery cover for accidental damage, fire and theft – even if you’re leasing it separately from the car
- Over the air monthly updates (OTA)
OTA updates are covered as standard when you insure your electric vehicle with us, but if you or the previous owner paid for additional performance upgrades affecting speed or acceleration, we'll need to know. You'll only need to tell us once and not everytime you upgrade.
And if you choose our optional hire car cover:
- We’ll provide the use of an electric or hybrid hire car if your green machine is off the road
Peugeot Safety features
Most newer Peugeots have a number of beneficial safety features
Things like...
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is a smart safety system that automatically applies the car's brakes if the driver doesn't react quickly enough to a hazard ahead, the system can help avoid or mitigate potential collisions.
- Blind spot monitors give you plenty of warning if there's something in your way when you're manoeuvring by activating a light in your wing mirrors.
- Most Peugeot models come with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme). It can detect the first signs of a sideways skid and compensate by reducing power and braking individual wheels to help you regain control and avoid a crash.
- Hill Assist - when the car's on a slope, Hill Assist keeps the brakes on for about two seconds after you lift your foot off the brake pedal, making it much easier for you to pull away, less likely to stall and prevents the car from rolling back.
Peugeot electric car insurance
So, where do Peugeot stand on electric cars?
Here's the lowdown:
Whether you're looking for an all-electric city car, compact SUV or a family car, Peugeot has you covered.
- The E-208 is Peugeot's funky city car. With zero emissions, a range of up to 248 miles and a charging time for 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, this car is perfect for the city dweller.
- With the distinctive "3 claw LED lighting signature" the E-2008 is a distinctive compact SUV with Peugeot's i-Cockpit, where you look over the steering wheel to see the driver information screen - it may not be to everyone's taste, but it's certainly a conversation starter!
- The E-308 is a large family car, available as a hatchback or estate (the E-308 SW). The 10" touchscreen is fully customizable with shortcuts and widgets, while the E-308 SW also gives up to 1,624 litres of boot space.
- If Peugeot's compact SUV isn't quite big enough, then maybe the E-3008 might be worth considering. You'll get over 320 miles on one charge, and you'll even get 62 miles from just ten minutes of charging (on a 100 kw public charger).
