From 31 March 2022, LV= have made the decision to no longer sell Motorbike insurance.

If you started a new quote before this date, you’ll have been given 30 days to buy your policy.

If you have a motorbike policy with us, you can rest assured you’re covered until your next renewal. We’ll be in touch nearer the time to discuss next steps.

What will happen to my existing policy?

At your next renewal date, we won’t be able to offer you a renewal price due to a change in our underwriting criteria. This won’t class as your insurance being declined, and you won’t need to declare it to other insurers. Your insurance will remain in place until your renewal date, but we’ll write to you in advance of your renewal date with all the information and to give you plenty of time to arrange suitable cover elsewhere.

Are you still selling breakdown cover for Motorbikes?

How will this affect me if I need to make a claim on my current policy, or if I have an open claim?

Will you send me proof of my no claim discount?

Will you give all my details to the broker you have suggested in your letter?

No, none of your personal details have been shared with the broker we have suggested. If you call for a quote they will need to take your personal details and vehicle details.
