We know how tough it is at the moment, so we want to help you where we can

We’re making £30 million available to our car and motorbike insurance customers through our Green Heart Support to help those who are struggling financially as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).

This money is being made available due to the savings that we expect to make as a result of reduced claims during the lockdown.  

If you’ve been furloughed and have not yet received your 80% payment, are self-employed and unable to work, or were made unemployed due to coronavirus (COVID-19) and are struggling financially, we’re here for you.

This support is available to existing LV= car or motorcycle customers who:                                               
  • Have been furloughed due to coronavirus (COVID-19) and have not yet received the 80% payment scheme from your employer
  • Are self-employed and unable to work due to coronavirus (COVID-19), but haven’t received the 80% payment scheme from the government yet
  • Have been made unemployed at any point after 1st March 2020 due to coronavirus (COVID-19)
If none of the above applies to you, there may be other ways we can help. Since the beginning of the lockdown, we’ve been helping all our customers to reduce their premiums by temporarily changing their cover, for example reducing mileage or switching to fire and theft if they don’t intend to use their car at this time.
