Our Executive team

Anita joined LV= in January 2026 as Chief Transformation and Technology Officer.

She brings extensive expertise in technology, data and large-scale transformation, gained through senior roles at Zurich UK, including as chief operating officer and chief data officer.

Anita leads our Business Change, Technology Services, Data and Operational Resilience functions, working closely with colleagues across the business to drive modernisation and future focused innovation.

Katherine joined LV= in 2012 and has extensive experience of developing distribution strategies and a track record of driving innovation and growth. 

She leads the LV= investment, protection and equity release businesses with a keen focus on continuing to build momentum around our diverse range of products, including growing our Smoothed Managed Fund range and award-winning protection business.

A qualified accountant, Katherine has over 18 years’ experience within the financial industry, working in commercial leadership and financial roles across LV= as well as at Friend Life, Barclays Bank and Capita.

Stephen joined LV= in 2023 and leads the Finance function as Chief Financial Officer. 

In the role, he provides leadership across financial, investment and pricing strategies to drive a profitable and sustainable mutual business for our members.  

Prior to joining LV=, Stephen enjoyed a successful career in financial services and has extensive life insurance experience from 25 years in the industry. 

He’s held a wide range of senior finance roles including CFO of Standard Life’s insurance business and CFO of the life businesses within the Phoenix Group. 

He also has international experience gained from working in China, India and Canada.

Chloe joined LV= in 2019 and was appointed Chief Customer Officer in 2026.

She has over 15 years’ experience in financial services, specialising in delivering excellent outcomes for members, customers and advisers, and in leading change and innovation across customer journeys. Throughout her career, Chloe has championed customer centric strategies, ensuring that customer insight and feedback are embedded into decision making and service design.

As Chief Customer Officer, Chloe is responsible for shaping and delivering our customer and adviser experience strategy. She also serves as the LV= Customer Champion.

Nikesh joined LV= in February 2026 as Chief Audit Officer.

Nikesh is a highly experienced audit and assurance leader, having worked across the financial services and insurance sectors since 2006. Most recently, he held senior audit roles at Phoenix Group and HSBC.

Nikesh leads our Audit team, ensuring they add value to the LV= Board. He is passionate about ensuring our members and customers can rely on us to safely support their future.

As part of the LV= Executive team, Nikesh plays a critical role is supporting the delivery of our member-focused business plan.

Emma joined LV= in 2017 and was appointed Chief People Officer in June 2022. 

She is committed to creating a positive workplace culture and promoting colleague development, introducing the BeMe@LV= engagement survey.

Emma has also overseen the reinvigoration of LV’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Wellbeing strategy and activities, as well as the ongoing development of a more comprehensive talent and succession approach.

She is also the executive sponsor to the LV= Balance network. 

Emma has worked in Human Resources for almost 20 years, with over 10 years’ experience in financial services and the insurance sector, starting her career at Ford Motor Company in 2005.

She then moved to Old Mutual Wealth, now Quilter, where she partnered with several key functions and supported the early phases of their platform migration project. 

Oliver joined LV= in 2024 and leads the Legal and Secretariat teams.

Oliver qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and brings extensive experience leading legal and governance teams and advising regulated businesses from his previous roles at Bupa, Telefónica UK (O2) and Baker & McKenzie.

As Company Secretary, Oliver oversees the statutory compliance of LV= and day-to-day operations of the Board and its committees. He provides advice to management and the Board on governance and legal matters to ensure that we operate in accordance with all relevant rules and regulations. Oliver supports the Chair to ensure that the Board functions efficiently and effectively and facilitates positive communication between management and the Non-Executive Directors. As General Counsel, Oliver oversees the advice provided by the internal Legal team and external legal providers and provides support on strategic legal matters and the management of legal risks.

Sam joined the LV= Marketing Communications team in 1999, having previously started her career with BUPA. 

Over the last 25+ years, she has held senior positions across a variety of communications, marketing and brand disciplines at LV=, helping to shape and develop the role brand and communications play in connecting people with the business. 

Today, Sam leads LV’s Brand, Corporate Communications, Design, Digital, Insight and Advice & Direct functions, and is the executive sponsor to the LV= Pride network. 

Jean-Marc joined LV= in 2019 and leads the Risk Management function as Chief Risk Officer. 

Within this role, he leads the Financial Risk, Operational Risk and Compliance functions, which include data protection and financial crime. He also oversees the activities of the Life Chief Actuary and manages all regulatory engagement. 

Jean-Marc is accountable for ensuring there is an effective risk management and control framework embedded across LV=, and collectively, the risk management function seeks to protect the interests of our members, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Prior to joining LV=, Jean-Marc held various senior roles within financial services and has over 20 years’ life insurance consulting and industry experience. 

This includes working within the Finance and Actuarial functions, as well as driving the delivery of major projects within a large multinational insurance and banking group.
