Maggies, everyone's home of cancer care

Maggie's Cancer Charity

Offering emotional and practical support for anyone affected by cancer

At LV= we understand the impact of cancer isn’t just financial.

Someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes and there are 375,000 new cases every year. As the number of people living with and beyond cancer increases, so does the need for care and support.

That’s why we’re working with Maggie’s, a cancer charity that understands the importance of expert practical and emotional support for people living with cancer.

People with cancer need Maggie’s now more than ever. Latest research from Cancer Research UK shows that millions of people missed screening during lockdown and 24,000 cases have gone undiagnosed. With treatment altered and surgery postponed there will be unbearable mental anguish as people learn that they face more extensive surgery or their cancer is no longer treatable or survivable.

Professional staff welcome visitors in and offer them the tools they need to cope after a cancer diagnosis. There are group sessions, a kitchen table to meet others, benefits and nutrition advice, relaxation and gentle exercise sessions. All the support at Maggie’s is tailored to fit the needs of individuals with cancer.
