About three weeks before the renewal date of your home insurance policy we'll send you a renewal pack. This pack will contain details of how to renew the policy.

The pack will also include a renewal invitation which will summarise:

  • the cover and price of your policy
  • details of the home insured
  • details of any optional extras you've chosen
  • schedule

You should check this carefully as it's the basis on which we're offering to renew your policy.

Changes to details

If any details have changed it's important that you tell us when you receive your renewal invitation as we'll need to issue another quotation to reflect the changes.

You need to call us on 0800 220 790 and tell us about these changes before your home insurance renews otherwise you may not be insured.

Level of cover

You should also take the opportunity to review the optional extras you have on your policy. Give one of our lovely people a call if you'd like to add any optional extras that you don't have at the moment.

You might also want to review the amount of excess that applies to your policy, as increasing the excess can reduce your renewal quote.

Automatic renewal

If you have chosen to automatically renew, your policy will be renewed using your credit or debit card, or by monthly or annual direct debit. This means you don't have to worry about forgetting to renew your policy, but still please check your documents for any changes. This will show on your renewal letter. If you'd prefer us not to renew your policy automatically, please let us know before your renewal date by calling us on 0800 633 5212.

And finally, please don't leave it to the last minute! When you receive your renewal invitation you'll have about three weeks before the policy needs to be renewed. If you don't renew your insurance or make alternative arrangements, you won't be insured.
