- Home Emergency Cover is an optional extra added to your home insurance, designed to protect you in case of a home emergency.
- If you have Emergency Cover, call us and we'll tell you what you need to do to protect your family and home before help arrives.
- We'll organise and pay for an approved tradesman to provide emergency assistance and repairs covering call out fees, labour and parts up to £1,000 per emergency with no excess.
- We'll provide alternative accommodation for you, your family and any domestic pets up to £250 if your home's unfit to live in.
Home emergency cover is only available if you have our home insurance. You can find out more about what's covered in your Home Emergency document.
Home Emergency - what's covered?
- Boiler breakdowns and plumbing emergencies like burst water pipes
- Pest infestations such as wasps or rats
- Lost or stolen house keys - we’ll get you back in and make your home secure
- Failure of electrical power or gas supply
- Unexpected roofing problems, like your tiles blowing off in a storm
- Home security, such as broken or damaged windows and doors
Please note our home emergency cover's only for unforeseen failures and problems - we won't cover routine maintenance costs like boiler servicing.
