What’s covered with LV= home insurance emergency cover? 

Our home emergency cover is available if you have our home insurance. You can find out more about what's covered in your Home Emergency document.

We'll provide up to £1,000 cover for each home emergency - and you won’t need to pay any excess.

  • Boiler breakdowns and plumbing emergencies such as burst water pipes
  • Pest infestations like wasps or rats
  • Lost or stolen house keys - we’ll get you back in and make your home secure
  • Failure of electrical power or gas supply
  • Unexpected roofing problems, such as your tiles blowing off in a storm
  • Home security, such as broken or damaged windows and doors 

    Please note that our home emergency cover is only for unforeseen failures and problems, so we can't cover routine maintenance costs such as boiler servicing.

Is home emergency cover included in my home insurance?

Home insurance emergency cover is one of our optional extras that lets you tailor your cover.

If you already have buildings insurance with us, but didn't include home emergency when you took out your policy, it's not too late to add it. Call us to arrange adding home emergency cover to your essentials, home or home plus insurance at any time.

What should I do if I have home emergency cover and there’s an emergency?
