Overview
So, here's what you need to know about our investment bond
- You can apply if you're a UK resident and between the ages of 17 and 89.
- This is a stock market related investment, not a savings account.
- You aren’t certain to make a profit, and the value of your bond can go down as well as up.
- If your bond is cashed in, in part or in full at any time other than at the end of your selected guarantee term, you may get back less than you invested.
- If withdrawals paid out are more than the growth on your bond, this will eat into your original investment.
bond features
Caught your interest? Here's some highlights...
- Invest from £5,000 to £1,000,000.
- Invest for at least five years, ideally longer.
- Have the potential for your investment to grow through the performance of UK and overseas stocks and shares.
- Buy an optional guarantee to cover the value of your bond on the day the guarantee is purchased (only available on the Smoothed Managed Cautious Fund).
We know that it’s vital to feel comfortable and reassured with your investment choice. That’s why we offer the option of buying an investment guarantee.
When you buy a guarantee, we promise that at the end of the guarantee term, your bond will be worth at least the amount of the investment at the time you bought the guarantee, less any withdrawals paid out. Naturally, if your bond is worth more than the guaranteed amount you’ll get the extra as well.
- You can buy a guarantee when you start your bond or upon expiry of an existing guarantee, subject to availability, if you're worried about market downturns.
