Life Insurance FAQ's

Can you get Life Insurance with cancer cover?

Life insurance pays out on death or terminal illness only, so you'd only be covered for cancer, if it was terminal cancer and in the opinion of your medical specialist and our chief medical officer you had less than 12 months to live.

However, our life and critical illness cover policy also covers you for the listed illnesses including cancer cover (excluding less advanced cases) and additional payment conditions for some specific types of cancer. It's important to understand though that with our Life and Critical Illness policy you are only covered for the illnesses as specifically detailed in the policy conditions and no others. For example, some types of cancer are covered, and some are not, and in some cases only more severe cases of cancer are covered.
