What to do if there's a leak in your home

When you have a water leak, you may not know what to do. This handy step-by-step guide is designed to help you through the process to get your home sorted. Almost every water leak claim is different, and the time it takes to get everything sorted can vary.

  • Step 1
    • Once you have stopped your leak, call LV= on 0800 032 2844 to report your claim.  
    • If you haven't stopped the leak, please still call us as we may be able to help.
    • For straightforward claims, we may be able to quickly offer a cash settlement for you to arrange your own repairs. Alternatively we will arrange for an LV= approved contractor to visit your home and assess the damage.
    • If any of your claim isn’t covered we’ll let you know as soon as we can.
