Toyota Safety features
Most newer Toyotas have a number of beneficial safety features
Things like...
- Road Sign Assist - the on board camera can recognise road signs in a number of countries and displays useful information such as overtaking restrictions on the display in clear view for the driver.
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) or also known as Toyota Pre-Collision System scans the road ahead for vehicles and recognises when there's a possibility of a collision. If it detects that you're not reacting in time to prevent an impact, the Pre-Collision System kicks in to stop or limit the severity of a crash. It'll also identify if you're potentially on course to have a collision with a pedestrian and alert you with audio and visual warnings.
- Toyota Safety Sense camera, Automatic High Beam (AHB), makes you a safer night-time driver. It detects the headlights of oncoming vehicles, the rear lights of cars in front of you, and streetlights when you're in a built-up area, switching automatically between low and high beam. As well as letting you concentrate on other aspects of driving, it also makes you a more considerate driver.
