Your home insurance excess is an amount that you have to pay if you make a claim.
- Voluntary excess - this is an amount that you agree to pay, in addition to your compulsory excess, if you make a claim. People agree to a voluntary excess in return for a lower premium.
- We have a minimum excess of £100 for most claims and this can be increased up to £1,000 in return for a lower premium. Any amount you choose over £100 would be classed as your voluntary excess. To find out how much excess you'd need to pay if you claim, please see your insurance documents.
