LV= provides urgent support to car owners in Luton

  • LV= provides reassurance to customers affected by Luton fire
  • Insurer guarantees all customers will get home and equipped with courtesy cars
  • The major insurer will waive excesses and promises no claims discount won’t be impacted
  • Insurer is organising for staff to be on the ground to support customers

With around 1,500 vehicles affected from today’s devastating fire at Luton airport, LV= General Insurance is expecting to see around 200 customers impacted and as part of its support is guaranteeing customers will get home and be equipped with transport in the short-term while arrangements are made to quickly settle their claim. In addition, the insurer will be waiving excesses, and promised no claims discounts won’t be impacted for customers as part of its support.  Where possible, LV= will also look to settle claims before customers return to the UK.

Once it’s safe to do so, a team from LV= will be onsite at Luton airport to provide assistance to affected customers.

We hope this reassurance to customers provides them with some comfort during what is a stressful time.”
