What trackers are suitable and do I need one for my car?

If your documents state you need a tracker to be fitted in your car so you can be covered for Theft and Attempted Theft, then the device will need to meet these criteria:

The tracker must be provided by the car manufacturer, a third party or an app on your phone (you may need to maintain a subscription for this)

The tracker must allow real time tracking of the car, i.e. you can see it travelling along a road, not just where you parked it last. This means things like AirTags or Tile trackers (which require other people with the same technology nearby to locate it), aren't suitable for and aren't eligible.

If the tracking device meets the above criteria, you'll be covered.
