What's car insurance personal accident cover?

Personal accident cover protects you in the event of a serious injury while travelling in, or getting in or out of your car.

Our comprehensive car insurance comes with £10,000 personal accident cover for you, your partner or a named driver on the policy if the injury results in:

Permanent and total loss of sight in one or both eyes.

Permanent and total loss of hearing in one or both ears.

Permanent loss of any limb above the wrist or ankle.

Permanent loss of use of any limb above the wrist or ankle.

Permanent, total disablement.

Death

Extended Personal Accident Cover

You have the option to increase your personal accident cover from £10,000 to £100,000 per eligible person.

You'll also benefit from additional cash payments if you, your partner or a named driver are admitted to hospital or have broken bones because of an accident in the car.

You can also get sessions with a physio or a mental health wellbeing specialist to help your recovery.

 You'll be able to add Extended Personal Accident Cover as an optional extra when getting your car insurance quote.
