LV= Critical Illness cover could help you if you become critically ill. It will pay out a lump sum if you are unfortunately diagnosed with one of the wide range of critical illnesses or conditions, specified in our policy documentation and defined within the terms of your plan. After diagnosis you must live for 14 days for your claim to be paid. However if you stop paying your premiums, you may not be covered when you need it most and this plan has no cash in value at any time.

To apply for an LV= Critical Illness cover:
- You must be a UK resident (not the Channel Islands or Isle of Man).
- You must be aged 17 to 59.
- The policy term must be for at least 5 and no more than 40 years.
- The policy must end before you reach age 65.
- The minimum premium is £5 per month.
