Which cover is most appropriate for you?

LV= pet insurance offers two different levels of cover to suit your needs. The Essential policy is more appropriate for treatment of one-off accidents, whereas the Premier policy is better suited for longer-term ongoing illnesses. You can read more about the key benefits below.

Essential pet insurance policy

£5,000 vet fees cover for up to 12 months' treatment for each condition.

With Essential your pet is only covered for 12 months of treatment from the onset of a condition (up to a maximum of £5,000 and subject to cover still being in force).

Premier pet insurance policy

£5,000 vet fees cover for each condition.

With Premier your pet is covered for as long as they need the treatment (up to a maximum of £5,000 for each condition) as long as they remain insured with us.

£1,000 towards covering your costs if you have to cancel your holiday because your pet gets lost or stolen, becomes ill or dies
£750 for advertising costs to help find your lost or stolen pet
If your pet dies from an accident, we'll cover the price you paid for them up to £750
