It's important that you know exactly what you're covered for on your LV= travel insurance policy, and that's why we've provided both the summary of cover and full policy document for you to download and read. When you take out a travel insurance policy, keep your policy documents in a safe place and refer to them if you have to make a claim. Certainly take them with you when you're on holiday.

Important Update – Swine Flu Virus

Historically, our travel insurance policy excluded cover for claims resulting from an epidemic or pandemic. But in response to customer concerns, we have reviewed our policy and removed the exclusion for all new and existing customers.

As a result, any valid claims where insured persons catch swine flu before going on holiday, or while they are on holiday, will now be covered. The only exception being if the insured person has already been diagnosed with swine flu at the time of arranging the policy or buying the travel tickets (whichever is later).

This overrides the exclusion which may be contained in your policy booklet.
