What's covered if I need to cancel my trip before I travel?
- You're covered if your trip or holiday has to be cancelled because you or someone you're travelling with is diagnosed with any coronavirus or other contagious disease and are unable to travel
- You're not covered if your trip or holiday is cancelled by your airline or travel provider because the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has imposed travel restrictions due to any coronavirus or other contagious disease, either in the UK or at your destination
- You're not covered if you decided to cancel your trip or holiday because you don’t want to travel due to any coronavirus or other contagious disease
- You're not covered if the FCDO or public authorities have imposed travel restrictions or a lockdown
What if I need to cancel excursions or activities while on my trip?
- You're covered for any activity or excursion you paid for or booked and agreed to pay for before being diagnosed with any coronavirus or other contagious disease
- You're not covered for any activity or excursion you booked but can no longer attend due to travel restrictions imposed by the FCDO due to any coronavirus or other contagious disease
What if I need to cut short or cancel my trip after I've left home?
- You're covered for emergency repatriation costs to bring you home if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) impose travel restrictions (while you're at your destination) and has requested you to return to the UK
- You're not covered for lost or unused holiday costs if your trip has to be cut short due to any coronavirus or other contagious disease because the FCDO or government authority has imposed travel restrictions (while you're at your destination) and has requested you to return to the UK
What emergency medical and related expenses are covered?
- You're covered for medical and repatriation costs if you become unwell with any coronavirus or other contagious disease
- You're covered for £25 per 24-hour period up to a maximum of £1,000 if you're an in-patient in hospital for any accident or illness that's covered under this policy. This excludes any period of quarantine in your accommodation
- You're not covered for medical and repatriation costs if you’ve declared any coronavirus or other contagious disease as a medical condition, which is shown on your schedule as not covered
What additional transport and/or accommodation costs are covered?
- You're not covered for additional transport or accommodation costs after you left home because the FCDO imposed travel restrictions or lockdown either in the UK or at your destination
