Barcelona and Cambrils attacks

News reports on 18th August 2017 indicate terrorist incidents occurred in the Las Ramblas area of central Barcelona and Cambrils, near Salou (100kms south west of Barcelona). If you're in the immediate area you should take care and follow the advice of the local security authorities.

We're urging our holidaymakers in Barcelona and Cambrils to stay safe and get in touch if you need help. If you've booked through a tour operator or travel agent please contact them first if you need to make alternative travel or accommodation arrangements or wish to change your travel plans.

What should I do if…

My travel plans are disrupted

If you booked through an agent or tour operator or transport provider, please contact them to find out the latest information on your travel arrangements. If the transport has been cancelled, indefinitely postponed or the airport / station / port is closed, you may be told not to go to your departure point.

If you booked all elements of your trip through a tour operator as a package, you should be able to get a refund for these through them. Some of the costs may not be met if you have booked elements of the holiday separately. As soon as you're aware that you may have to reschedule your trip, you should contact the provider of each element of the trip to see what alternative arrangements can be made.

If you have a single trip policy and your travel dates are rearranged please call us as soon as possible so we can change the trip dates on your policy.
