Very few people these days will work for the same company throughout their working life. As people move, they may leave small pension pots behind each time and it can be difficult to track down past pensions over the years. Here's some tips about what you can do:
Look through your paperwork to check what records you have.
If you can't find any pension details for periods when you were in employment it may be worth investigating further.
You may be getting annual statements from each of your schemes. If you don't, you should get in touch to make sure everything is still in order.
If you stop getting your statements or can't get in touch with your scheme you'll need to track them down. The first place to contact in this instance is your pension provider. After that try the company that employed you (if it's a workplace pension).
