Frequently Asked Questions

When do PCS stop endorsing LV= Car Insurance and LV= Home Insurance?
The PCS endorsement of LV= car and home insurance ends on 7 November 2018. New car insurance and home insurance quotes will not be available from 7 August 2018.

Am I still covered with my car or home insurance policy?
Yes.  Your cover with LV= won’t change, you’ll continue to get the same quality insurance and an excellent level of service from us.  

What changes will I see?
Everything you see from us will continue to be from LV=.  The only change is that where we used to talk about PCS or show their logos (on websites, in your documents or emails), we’ll no longer include this.

As an existing car or home insurance customer, do I need to do anything about this change?
No, you don't need to do anything until it’s time to renew your policy.  About a month before your renewal date we’ll send you an LV= renewal quote.  If you’ve chosen to renew automatically we’ll renew for you, if not you’ll need to go online or give us a call – but don’t worry, we’ll explain what you need to do nearer the time.

What happens if I want to make any changes to my car or home policy?

You can continue to make changes to your car policy by calling LV= on 0800 028 5663. If you’d like to make changes to your home policy, call LV= on 0800 085 5664.

When will LV= contact me about my renewal?


We'll write to you approximately 4 weeks prior to your renewal, with a quote, highlighting any changes in cover.

I chose to automatically renew my policy, will this still happen?


Yes. If you previously told LV= that you wanted to do this, then we’ll write to you around 4 weeks before your renewal date confirming your automatic renewal. If you’ve not chosen to renew automatically, we’ll write to you with your renewal invite quote around 4 weeks before your renewal.

Will my cover change if I renew with LV=?

We'll write to you around 4 weeks before your renewal with a quote highlighting any changes in cover.
