Nationwide Car insurance

Nationwide wrote to you in September 2017 to tell you that your Nationwide car insurance policy, which was provided and administered by LV=, would be directly arranged by LV= from 24 September 2017.

There's nothing you need to do right now. All future correspondence will be LV= branded, we'll write to you approximately 4 weeks prior to your renewal with your quote and highlight if there are any changes in cover.

LV= is one of the UK's largest insurers who are widely recognised for outstanding customer satisfaction and value for money and so as a customer you'll continue to enjoy our excellent service.

Will this change have any effect on my policy?

No, your policy will have the same great level of cover and benefits as you had before. If this changes, We'll write to you approximately 4 weeks prior to your renewal with a quote and highlight if there are any changes in cover.

As an existing customer, do I need to do anything about this change?

No, you don't need to do anything. Nationwide and LV= have worked closely together to ensure a smooth transition for all existing customers.

Am I still insured to drive? Do I need to buy a new policy?

You'll continue to be insured and this will not stop at any point due to this change. As your existing policy will transfer over, you do not need to purchase a new policy.

When did Nationwide stop selling car insurance?

What happens if I want to make any changes to my Nationwide Car policy?

You can continue to make changes to your policy by calling LV= on 0800 028 56 88.

When will LV= contact me about my renewal?

We'll write to you approximately 4 weeks prior to your renewal, with a quote, highlighting any changes in cover.

I chose to automatically renew my policy, will this still happen?

Yes. If you previously told Nationwide that you wanted to do this, then LV= will write to you around 4 weeks prior to your renewal date confirming your automatic renewal. If you have not chosen to renew automatically, LV= will write to you with your renewal invite around 4 weeks before your renewal.

Will my cover change if I renew with LV=?
