A brief history of Ducati motorbikes

Founded in 1926, in the northern Italian town of Bologna, Ducati was originally producing radio equipment before their workshop was bombed out during World War II.

Following the war, Ducati started production of motors that could be attached to bicycles, shortly before moving onto a frame of its own known as the 'Cucciolo'.

In 1993, a motorbike was launched that was to become Ducati's biggest success. 'The Monster' is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful bikes ever made and still sells successfully today.

Did you know - even though Ducati still continue to make each product by hand in Italy, amazingly it only takes 88 minutes to make a Monster!
