Kids say - three wishes

Tuesday, 28 June 2016

At LV= we know that raising a child is something one can never quite be prepared for.

According to our latest ‘Cost of a Child’ research, the current average cost of a child from birth to age 21 in the UK is £231,843!

That said, we want to make sure that you are financially prepared for your life changing journey into parenthood. From teaching your kids to save their pocket money, to protecting your own income should the unexpected happen.

Question on screen: If you had three wishes, what would they be?

To have a million pounds.

One would be to have a puppy.

One was to make unicorns come alive, the next one was make all my dreams come true and the next one is to be good at everything.

Everything was rainbow and I wish I had a pink unicorn.

I could fly and have a box of diamonds and I could turn invisible.

Mine would be to have a pet elephant.

A house rabbit.

My rabbit’s up in heaven …a wish would be a swimming pool!

To have a day at home, resting instead of going to school and my third one would be for daddy not to go to work so I could spend more time with him.

Our kids wishes ranged spectacularly; from pet elephants and unicorns, to rainbow lands and invisibility. Of course we would love to make all of our children’s dreams come true but for those dreams which are slightly out of our reach, we may need a backup plan.

As parents, our wishes are likely to be worlds away from those of our children …perhaps to be mortgage free for example? Well, here at LV= we can’t promise to clear your debts, but should the unforeseen occur - we offer Income Protection. It's designed to provide a safety net to replace some of your income, to help pay your mortgage if you're unable to work because of long term sickness or an accident.
