Can I insure my husband or wife?

A family with LV= Life Insurance pitching a tent with a green heart

Answer

Married couples (including civil partnerships) can insure each other using a life insurance policy.

However, our LV= Life Insurance plan can only be set up on a single life (yourself) or joint life plan. Joint life means that if either you or your spouse/civil partner died, the policy could be claimed and the money would go to the surviving spouse.

If you need to insure your partner only (for example, if you already have arrangements on yourself), then speak to one of our protection experts. They can recommend a policy that is right for you.
