Each year Which? select and publicly recognise those companies that consistently get it right for consumers. They recognise businesses that have achieved positive change and offer excellent products and services that score highly in their research and testing. They award businesses across a wide range of sectors, from cars to retailers, banks to energy companies, and home appliances to technology manufacturers.
Recommended provider for car and home insurance
The customer score is based on a survey of 4,739 general public respondents for car insurance and 8,390 for home insurance. They are worked out using a combination of overall satisfaction and likelihood of recommending the provider.
The policy score is our assessment of the quality of standard cover comparing 58 elements of a car insurance policy, 35 elements of a building insurance policy and 40 elements for contents insurance. Providers must receive a minimum sample size of 30 respondents to be included.
