What do I need to know about renewing my home policy?

How do I renew my home insurance policy with LV=?

We'll send you an invitation 3 weeks before your policy is due to renew. If you've chosen to, we'll automatically renew your home insurance so you won't be left without insurance cover. If you haven't chosen this option, you can call us to go through the details, or use our online renewal form. If you have any questions, please call us on 0800 681 6273.

Can I renew my home insurance online?

Yes. If you've received your renewal documents by post and happy everything's correct, you can save time by quickly renewing online.

Can I change my payment method when I renew my home insurance?

Payment methods are credit or debit cards or direct debit and can be changed at renewal, however direct debit may not always be offered.

If you want to change how you pay, you can do this online up to 4 working days before your cover is due to end.

You’ll be taken to our renewals page where you can access your policy using the policy number and renewal date.

Don't worry if you see reference to ‘payment’, this is just the first step of the process - you won’t pay anything to change your details.

How do I change my level of cover when I renew my home insurance?

The only way to change your level of cover when you renew is to call us on 0800 681 6273.
