Hello there, I'm Victoria. At LV= we offer Foreign use car insurance as an optional extra.
Foreign use car insurance is also known as European car insurance. Today I am here to explain a little bit more about what it is and perhaps why you need it.
Your car insurance already has you covered for the minimum level of insurance needed to drive in the EU. However, for extra peace of mind our additional Foreign use cover will give you the same level of cover that you have in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands as well as covering you for trips lasting up to 180 consecutive days. This applies to drivers who have fully comprehensive or 3rd party, fire and theft policies with us.
This additional level of cover means that even if your trip lasts for 6 months, you can rest assured that you will benefit from the exact same high level of service and care you received from LV= within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
To include Foreign use Car Insurance Cover on your policy, please give us a call.
We're always happy to help.
