• Yorkshire won Division 1 in 2014 and have retained the County Championship title this summer
  • Yorkshire are the most successful team in English cricketing history with 33 County Championship titles
  • Jack Leaning of Yorkshire was part of our LV= Breakthrough Player Award shortlist

Yorkshire have already set a record points total (265) for the top tier of the competition this season and can add to that in their final match at home to Sussex. This was the first time the county have achieved the feat of back-to-back County Championships since 1968.

The success of coach Jason Gillespie's squad is even more impressive given Yorkshire were missing their six England internationals (Joe Root, Adam Lyth, Gary Ballance, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett) for much of the summer. Gillsepie puts Yorkshire’s success down to constantly striving for continual improvement and from having such a strong squad of players.
