- Surrey were relegated from Division One in 2013
- They top the results table with 264 points
- Their final game against Northamptonshire resulted in a draw
Surrey County Cricket Club have been promoted back up to Division One for the first time since 2013. They won the Division Two title despite their final-round match against Northamptonshire resulting in a draw and closest rivals Lancashire failing to win at Essex.
They top the table with just ten points between them and second-placed Lancashire with a total of 264 points. A successful season fuelled by the prominence of the Curran brothers within the team – Sam and Tom.
The Currans took all ten wickets in the first innings against Northampton last week - the first siblings to achieve the feat since 1950. 20 year old Tom Curran, a 2015 LV= Breakthrough Player Award nominee, has been rewarded with a place on the England Performance Programme this winter and younger brother Sam Curran, 17, has been named in the England Under-19 squad to tour Sri Lanka.
