- LV= values diversity in the workplace
- Our people are encouraged to be themselves at work and celebrate their individuality
- This year, LV= staff are taking part in Dorset's biggest Pride event
Diversity is a great thing. Not only does an inclusive and diverse workplace make for a far more interesting place to work - it helps us to better understand our marketplace and customer base.
Diversity and inclusion is something we truly care about as a business and we’re wholeheartedly committed to making sure that everyone here is encouraged, supported and respected for their individuality.
"I want everyone who comes to work for LV= to feel that they can be themselves when they come into work. That they don't have to pretend to be someone else to fit in, or to hide some aspect of their personality or life." Richard Rowney, Chief Executive, LV=
Celebrating with our LGBTQ community at Bourne Free
Bourne Free is Bournemouth’s annual Pride celebration. It takes place this weekend, with events kicking off on Friday 30 June.
The first Bourne Free was held in 2004. A far right organisation was due to come to Bournemouth and preach that homosexuality was wrong, so the Bourne Free team organised what was to become Dorset's biggest annual celebration of diversity.
This year's event has a 'Superheroes'; theme and everyone is encouraged to don capes, masks and costumes for the weekend's celebrations.
Just as in previous years, LV= is celebrating with the LGBTQ community in Bournemouth.
We'll be flying the rainbow flag at our Head Office and dressing our giant green heart on the Westbourne roundabout with a Pride sash.
