Video transcript

People already use technology to do their shopping, banking or even book a holiday, so it is almost a natural next step for them to manage their health.

I’m Bippon Viniyak, the Executive Chairman and CEO at Square Health.

We started Square Health in 2015, so it’s a relatively new company but it’s part of an old and well established staple of businesses that have provided healthcare services throughout the UK since 1994.

Well we cover pretty much all the key medical specialities; we currently process in excess of 100,000 medical reports a year. In addition to this we do approximately 50,000 health screening reports. We conduct close to a quarter of a million physiotherapy sessions a year.

So we have very well developed networks, we have a proven track record of service delivery, and what’s unique about our business is it literally does cover pretty much every part of the UK.

Well we’re delighted to be partnering with LV=, we share their passion for customer care, and we do feel that the services being provided by Square Health will extend the range of support services that LV= already has in place.

The Remote GP allows the LV= customer a convenient and quick access to a GP, from almost anywhere in the world.

The Second Opinion service is unique we feel. In the UK it’s actually very rare for people to seek a second opinion, and as a consequence of that accessing the service when you do want to can be quite challenging, so our aim is to try and seek an alternative without disrupting the on-going clinical care.

The Prescription Services allow the remote GP to treat the acute episode. We’re not looking to replace the normal GP medication or any repeat medication that the patient may require, but it allows them to deal with the acute episode and for a private prescription to be issued in a convenient way that can be collected from the local pharmacy so the customer simply needs to turn up to pick it up.

The app essentially gives the user healthcare wherever or whenever they want. We wanted to build a platform which would allow us to connect a number of the best health and wellness services and unify them so that they could be accessed in a consistent and logical way by the end user.

Our slogan is ‘always there healthcare’ and that’s really what the app allows us to do. It’s in the palm of your hand whenever you feel you need to refer to trusted medical advice or seek some intervention then the app is just a click away.
