LV= announces retirement webinars for advisers

Retirement specialist LV= is hosting a series of five retirement webinars for advisers who want to look at how they can make the most of the opportunities the pension reforms offer them and their clients.

The webinars will run from 23 January until 24 February. Each webinar will focus on a specific topic, ranging from the impact the Budget changes will have on the retirement market and clients in particular; how financial advisers can prepare their business for the new environment; new business opportunities and engaging existing clients; managing conduct risk and ensuring good customer outcomes.

Steve Lewis, LV= Head of Retirement Distribution, said: “The new pension landscape gives retirees greater choice as to how they take their pension income and we want to support advisers and enable them to navigate the changes effectively. These webinars are designed to help advisers get prepared for April and consider the short, medium and long-term risks and opportunities for their business.

“The guidance guarantee will signpost people to advice, where appropriate, and we expect that the number of retirees seeking advice will steadily rise as more people look at how they could best structure their retirement income to achieve the flexibility they require. We aim to provide advisers with additional support to engage new and existing clients and help them demonstrate the value of at retirement advice.”
