Streamlining the application process

Many of the delays in the application process happen when; we’re waiting for reports to be returned from your client's General Practitioner (GP), where 3rd party financial evidence is required, or where the applicant needs to attend a medical screening or examination.

To reduce the delays we ask for your clients help in the following areas:

  • Book in their medical examinations or tests as soon as possible.
  • To take their time thinking about their medical history and if they're not sure, tell us anyway and we can decide if it's relevant to the application.
  • To read, complete and return any necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

And we try to speed things along as well

Our competitive financial and non-medical underwriting limits mean less paperwork for you and a simpler process for your client.

  • We won’t routinely request a financial questionnaire until cover is greater than £2.5m for life insurance and £750,000 for Life and Critical Illness cover.
  • Where a medical examination is required, we’ll arrange for your client to be seen by a medical expert in a location convenient to them. We do this by using our nationwide network of mobile healthcare specialists.
