For the second year in a row, protection specialist LV= will host another series of its popular ‘Wake up to IP’ events, helping advisers increase their confidence in selling income protection.
Last year, more than 2,000 advisers took part in the ‘Wake up to IP’ events. In response to demand from advisers, this year nine seminars will take place throughout May.
The CPD accredited sessions are designed to help advisers sharpen their skills and make income protection a core part of the conversation when speaking to clients about protection. LV= will tackle common challenges advisers face, offering them new ideas and practical tools they can use with clients.
The free sessions will cover income protection and state benefits, showcase tools that can help demonstrate the value of protecting income to clients, and show advisers how to bring down the cost when recommended alongside life insurance and critical illness cover.
Myles Rix, Managing Director of Protection, at LV=, said: "At LV=, we believe everyone should have access to quality financial support if they’re ill and unable to work. Our ‘Wake up to IP’ events demonstrate our commitment to working with advisers and supporting them to protect their clients against all eventualities. The sessions can help advisers explain the importance of protecting income and the value of this product to clients, as well as showing advisers how to tailor income protection to suit different needs."
