Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society (LV=) has today announced the appointment of Vanessa Swanton as Internal Audit Director, subject to regulatory approval. Vanessa will join LV= later in the year and replaces Alison Ward who has decided to leave the company. She will report directly to Richard Rowney, Chief Executive of LV=.
Vanessa joins from Ernst & Young (E&Y), one of the largest global professional services companies, where she’s worked for the last four years. During her time at E&Y, Vanessa was seconded to Lloyds Banking Group where she was Director of Internal Audit for the Insurance function, responsible for the design and execution of the annual insurance audit plan and coordination of all insurance audit related activity. Prior to working at E&Y, Vanessa spent five years at KPMG.
Commenting on her appointment, Richard Rowney said: “I’m delighted that Vanessa is joining LV=. Having spent a number of years at leading professional service firms and working with several major insurers and banks, Vanessa brings with her a wealth of experience that will be invaluable to us. LV= already has a very strong audit function and I’m confident that Vanessa will ensure that our capabilities in this area continue to go from strength to strength.
“I’d also like to thank Alison for the tremendous contribution she has made to our business and I wish her all the best for the future.”
