LV= reaffirms commitment to pass on savings from the personal injury discount rate reforms

“The latest response from the Ministry of Justice gives us confidence that the reforms are heading in the right direction. However, to ensure the reforms are passed as quickly as possible, we would encourage the Government to include the Discount Rate legislation within the Civil Liability Bill. At a time when the cost of car insurance is at an all-time high, this would allow us to pass on savings to consumers a lot sooner. We continue to be the only insurer that is committed to passing on 100% of the savings produced by this legislation and we stand by that promise.”

About LV=

LV= serves over 5.8 million customers with a range of financial products. We are the UK’s largest friendly society and a leading financial mutual.

When we started in 1843 our goal was to give financial security to more than just a privileged few and for many decades we were most commonly associated with providing a method of saving to people of modest means. Today we follow a similar purpose, helping people to protect and provide for the things they love, although on a much larger scale and through a wide range of financial services including insurance, investment and retirement products.

We offer our services direct to consumers, as well as through IFAs and insurance brokers.
