LV=, the UK’s most trusted and recommended insurer, has today announced that John Chasty has been promoted to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) with immediate effect.
As CIO of the business, John will be responsible for the leadership and direction of IT Strategy, Change Delivery and Operations. He will report directly to Richard Warner, Chief Operating Officer, and will be based in Bournemouth.

Technology continues to change rapidly and now more than ever it’s important that we have the right IT strategy in place to ensure we’re delivering the best results for both our business and customers. Our aim is to be a Digital First company, ensuring that digital platforms are fully integrated with our services, improving the overall efficiency of our services and making our systems easier to run and manage, and I’m confident that John will help us achieve this.”
John Chasty added: “From big data to cyber security, cloud infrastructure, the Internet of Things and everything in between, technology is having a significant impact on the insurance industry and our customers. There’s a real opportunity for us to embrace some of the latest technologies, such as Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, to enhance the overall experience for our customers and employees and I look forward to delivering a strategy that will accomplish this.”
