Protection specialist, LV=, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Andrea Fields as Rehabilitation Manager to focus on helping individuals suffering from illness or injury with their recovery.
In her new role, Andrea will spearhead the insurer’s drive to build and develop its early intervention services and ensure income protection claimants have all the help they need during their recovery to either stay in work or return to work. She will be responsible for coordinating access to treatment and liaising closely with the relevant services to ensure customers get the right support, quickly.
Andrea will also build on the insurer’s support for policyholders by ensuring staff have specialist training in mental health to deliver the right treatment and advice. In 2015, mental illness accounted for one in five (18%) of all new income protection claims at LV=.

Commenting on her appointment, Myles Rix, Managing Director, LV= Protection said: “At LV= we ensure all our income protection customers have support above and beyond the financial assistance their policy provides. Andrea Fields added: “I am delighted to join the rehabilitation team at LV=. I look forward to combining my skills as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, with my strong industry experience, to help LV= deliver market-leading rehabilitation services that ensure clients receive vital care and support in their time of need.”
