LV= Appoints Wayne Snow As Chief Risk Officer

Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society (LV=) has today announced the appointment of Wayne Snow as chief risk officer (CRO), subject to regulatory approval.  Wayne joins LV= on 26 June and replaces David Dullaway who has been interim CRO since Steve Haynes’ departure in December 2017.  He will report directly to Richard Rowney, chief executive of LV= and joins the board of directors.

Wayne joins from Phoenix Group the UK’s largest specialist closed life insurance and pension fund consolidator where he was most recently group chief risk officer.  Prior to this Wayne held a number of roles within the Phoenix Group including financial risk director and corporate development actuary.  He started his career as an associate at management consultancy A T Kearney before joining Tillinghast as a consultant.

Richard Rowney said: “Having a professional, proactive and effective risk function is fundamental to the success of any insurance business.  With extensive experience in the life and pensions industry Wayne will play an important role in the future of LV= and I look forward to working with him.”
