Creating confidence in our communities

Here at Crowdfunder.co.uk our mission is to connect the projects that matter with supporters that care. To make this happen, we bring people and communities together on one platform and help them make their inspiring ideas a reality through the art of crowdfunding.
We champion community spirit and collaboration and create a way for people to lead more confident lives. It was precisely this that led us to collaborate with LV=; one of the UK’s most recognised mutuals.
LV= recognises that confidence starts at home and is rooted in the neighbourhoods and communities that surround us. Their own heritage stretches back 175 years when people came together to support one another and the very concept of mutuality was born.
This shared desire to build confidence in communities across the UK led LV= and Crowdfunder to work together earlier this year. It was all about seeking out local projects that are really making a difference and offer them the opportunity to win £1,000 towards a crowdfunding project. The winning projects then went on to collectively raise over £60,000 to action more things that matter locally.

Included in the winning projects were Organic Blooms; a Soil Association organic certified flower farm and florist with a difference. Every flower that they grow and every stem that they sell helps them to train someone who has struggled to find work because of a learning difficulty, autistic spectrum disorder or long term mental health condition.
With the support of LV= and Crowdfunder, Organic Blooms has been able to flourish; growing their social enterprise and creating more life changing jobs. They even went on to win the Impact Award at renowned pitching competition, Voom.

An Hour For Others, who provide an inclusive platform that spreads unity, kindness, empowerment, positivity and joy to both the young and the old in their hour of need. Their work has enabled them to dramatically improve lives and positively impact many people in Liverpool that are at a real disadvantage.
With the support of LV= and Crowdfunder, Organic Blooms has been able to flourish; growing their social enterprise and creating more life changing jobs. They even went on to win the Impact Award at renowned pitching competition, Voom.
