Top performing claims suppliers win LV= awards

Press release: 28/01/2015

LV='s best performing claims suppliers were recognised last night at its first Claims Partner Awards. The awards are designed to recognise the contribution that suppliers make to LV='s success and are open to all suppliers working with its general insurance claims operations.

Over 40 companies submitted entries for the eight categories, which were created to recognise key areas of supplier performance including cost-saving initiatives, outstanding customer service and fraud prevention. Suppliers were invited to enter a ‘future innovation' category, which gave them the opportunity to tell LV= about an idea they believe could benefit its business and have it reviewed by LV='s management team.

The entries were judged by LV='s claims management team and the awards were presented by LV='s Claims Director, Martin Milliner, at a celebratory dinner.

The top accolade for the ‘Best Overall Supplier Partner' category, which suppliers cannot submit an entry but must be nominated by LV=, was won by Copart for motor claims, and Gelder Group for property claims. Both winning partners demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation and a proactive approach to claims; as well as putting the LV= customer at the heart of everything they do.

Those working in claims had a very busy year in 2014 with floods, storms and rising accident rates. We rely on our supplier partners to deliver the best possible service to our customers in their hour of need and to be the face of LV= to them. We created these awards to show our supplier partners how much we value their contribution to our business and to recognise their ongoing support.

LV= employs 6,000 people and serves over 5.5 million customers with a range of financial products. We are the UK's largest friendly society and a leading financial mutual.

When we started in 1843 our goal was to give financial security to more than just a privileged few and for many decades we were most commonly associated with providing a method of saving to people of modest means. Today we follow a similar purpose, helping people to protect and provide for the things they love, although on a much larger scale and through a wide range of financial services including insurance, investment and retirement products.

We offer our services direct to consumers, as well as through IFAs and brokers, and through strategic partnerships with organisations such as ASDA, Nationwide Building Society and a range of trade unions.
