LV= launches rugby themed viral game Drop Kick Hero

Mutual insurance , investment and retirement group LV= has launched a rugby-themed viral game, Drop Kick Hero to celebrate its sponsorship of the LV= Cup and Harlequins Rugby Club . To access the game go to http://DropKickHero.lv.com/.

The game has been created to with the aim of increasing brand awareness, driving traffic to the LV= website and capturing customer data.

The objective of LV= Drop Kick Hero is to kick the ball through the posts and score a conversion. Players are challenged against the clock and have to factor in both wind speed and direction when taking a shot as well as having to score before being charged down by an opponent.

At the start of the game players choose which of the 16 teams competing in the LV= Cup they would like to play for. The game starts in an open field, and as players progress through the game, the stadium grows until they're playing at Twickenham itself.

Players can invite their friends to play and start their own Drop Kick Hero private league and there are also opportunities to win some great prizes in the free prize draw or the highest score competition. The prizes include LV= Cup goodies and tickets to the LV= Cup final.

We think it's a great game, lots of fun to play, with some great prizes up for grabs and you can indulge in some friendly competition by setting up leagues with friends and family. The game is a good opportunity to drive people to LV.com and to raise awareness of our brand."

Earlier in the year, LV= launched viral game Super Spin (http://superspin.lv.com) aimed at promoting its sponsorship of the LV= County Cricket and also the Heartsville game (http://heartsville.lv.com) in September in support of their latest TV advert.
