LV= announces additional annuity master-class

Press release: 06/09/2012

Retirement specialist LV= is hosting an additional investment linked annuity master-class with expert adviser, Billy Burrows. The session will take place in Bristol on 20 September and aims to help raise advisers’ awareness of the benefits of investment-linked annuity products

It will cover topics including the alternatives to a guaranteed annuity and the factors to consider when assessing suitability. The additional date follows a series of LV= master-classes during July.

Michelle Cutler, LV= Head of Investment Linked Annuities, said: “There was a huge amount of interest in our recent master-classes and we received great feedback from advisers, so we’re pleased to be able to add an extra date. We are committed to supporting advisers, and providing an opportunity to learn about products that they may not already be confident advising on.

”We intend to run further sessions later this year and we would like to hear from advisers who are interested in attending to suggest which locations would be most useful.”

The LV= investment linked annuity master class is taking place on 20 September 2012 in Bristol at the Holiday Inn.

To sign up for a free place or to suggest locations for future sessions financial advisers should contact Kim Soley on Kim.Soley@lvcom.

About LV=

LV= employs 5500 people and serves over five million customers with a range of financial products. We are the UK’s largest friendly society and a leading financial mutual.

When we started in 1843 our goal was to give financial security to more than just a privileged few and for many decades we were most commonly associated with providing a method of saving to people of modest means. Today we follow a similar purpose, helping people to protect and provide for the things they love, although on a much larger scale and through a wide range of financial services including insurance, investment and retirement products.

We offer our services direct to consumers, as well as through IFAs and brokers, and through strategic partnerships with organisations such as ASDA, Nationwide Building Society and a range of trades unions.
