Iain Clark to join LV= as director of protection

Iain Clark is joining LV= as director of protection. He is the latest in a number of high profile recruits to LV=’s award –winning protection management team including Mark Jones as head of protection product and, more recently, Mike Farrell as head of protection sales.

Iain joins LV= from Legal & General where he was sales director for its IFA protection business. Iain has 24 years’ experience in the protection market and in his new role, will be responsible for LV=’s entire protection proposition. Mark Jones and Mike Farrell will report directly into Iain.

Richard Rowney, LV= managing director for life and pensions, said: “LV= had very strong growth in protection during 2010 with sales increasing by around 35%, and we are delighted to further strengthen our team by recruiting someone of Iain’s calibre. LV= has achieved considerable success by continuing to offer flexible, relevant protection products, and dependable support for advisers and their customers when they need it. Our reputation as a specialist in the protection and at retirement markets continues to grow and Iain’s extensive industry knowledge will further accelerate our ambitions.”
