ECB reveals 2013 County Fixtures

The ECB today announced the fixtures for the 2013 county season

The first round of LV= County Championship matches starts on Wednesday 10 April with the last round commencing on Tuesday 24 September.

Last season's Division One champions Warwickshire will travel to Abu Dhabi for the traditional season opener against MCC before beginning their title defence at Edgbaston against newly promoted Derbyshire on Wednesday 10 April.

The Clydesdale Bank 40 begins on Friday 3 May with holders Hampshire taking on Essex at Chelmsford in a floodlit game. The competition format again sees the 18 first-class counties joined by Scotland, the Netherlands and the Unicorns. The 2013 final takes place on Saturday 21 September at Lord's.

In 2013 the Friends Life t20, again involves the 18 first-class counties divided into three geographical groups with each team playing every other side in their group home and away. The top two teams in each group plus the two third-placed teams with the best records progress to the quarter-final stage.

The Friends Life t20 begins on Wednesday 26 June with last season's champions Hampshire taking on Surrey at the Ageas Bowl in a floodlit fixture. The group stages run from this date through to Wednesday 31 July ahead of quarter-finals to be held on 6,7,8 August.

Next summer's Friends Life t20 Finals Day will be held at Edgbaston - which will host the final of the t20 competition for the fifth time on Saturday 17 August.

Seven international teams are scheduled to play series in the UK next summer with New Zealand, Australia, Australia A, Bangladesh A, Bangladesh U19s, Pakistan U19s, and Australia Women all touring.
